Sam has been working as a Special Education teacher in New York City for five years, currently teaching in a Pre-K classroom at a special needs school in Manhattan. Since the age of sixteen, Sam spent every summer working 1:1 with special needs children ages 8-21 at Genesee Valley Rotary Camp for children with disabilities in upstate New York. Sam completed a dual undergraduate degree in English Literature and Anthropology at Fordham University, and is currently finishing a graduate degree in Early Childhood Special Education: Severe/Multiple Disabilities at Hunter College.
Sam became a part of Autism Friendly Spaces, Inc while taking a class under Jamie Bleiweiss at Hunter. He is grateful for the opportunity and humbled to be a part of an organization dedicated to making the world a more accessible place for all individuals.
